Designed to line the inside of an internal door frame, doors are then hung from the Door Frame. These MDF Door Frames are available primed, ensuring that they arrive ready for undercoats and the final top coat. Alternatively, these Door Frames are available undercoated, so you can apply your finishing coat straight away! The MDF Door Frame is provided alongside 32mm x 15mm plant on door stops (also called Slamming Strips). In a set, we provide 6 Square pieces of MDF (3 for the frame, 3 for the slamming strips). The frames are not trenched the head sits on top of the legs. A single set is intended for a single doorway, and the double set is designed for a double doorway (French doors / Patio doors). The grooves add definition to the design whilst the square top edge gives it a modern and sharp finish. The Grooved 2 Square design can create a subtle double shadow gap/line effect on your skirting boards with the iconic double groove running along the top. This design is versatile in more ways than one, by painting the inner grooves a darker shade, the shadow gap effect becomes pronounced. For modern interiors, the Grooved 2 Skirting Board can also offer channels to host thin LED strip lighting. They can be used to cover existing skirting boards within your home up to a maximum thickness of 19mm (should your existing skirting be thicker than 25mm, get in touch as we may still be able to help you).
