They can be used to cover existing skirting boards within your home up to a maximum thickness of 19mm (should your existing skirting be thicker than 19mm, get in touch as we may still be able to help you). To make sure you get the right fit, simply choose the height of your existing skirting from the dropdown menu. If you can't see the size of your skirting board, simply choose the size above (if your skirting is 130mm tall, choose the 145mm height). If all else fails, get in touch and we can talk you through. The versatile design means that this Plinth Block is well-suited to complement any of our Skirting Boards and Architraves. The MDF Plinth Block P1 is a contemporary take on traditional design, offering a versatile option to draw attention to your doorways. Featuring a characteristic bevelled design along the top and edges, whilst maintaining a square edge along the bottom to sit flush with the floor. Plinth Blocks often sit higher than the Skirting Boards and are wider than the Architrave. However, this is a personal preference! Many of our customers choose a Plinth that sits closer to the height and width of the Skirting and Architrave to better suit their design choices. Generally, Plinth blocks must be thicker than the Skirting and Architrave For instance, If the Skirting/Architrave are 18mm thick, the Plinth Block should be 25mm thick at least! Our Stepped 3 MDF Skirting Board Cover can be used over existing skirting All of our skirting board covers are manufactured using our premium 25mm thick MDF material. They can be used to cover existing skirting boards within your home up to a maximum thickness of 19mm (should your existing skirting be thicker than 25mm, get in touch as we may still be able to help you). To make sure you get the right fit, simply choose the height of your existing skirting from the dropdown menu. If you can't see the size of your skirting board, simply choose the size above (if your skirting is 130mm tall, choose the 145mm height). If all else fails, get in touch and we can talk you through.
